Powering Your Business – Hosting a "Mixer"

What do you do when you feel like you have come across and talked with everyone who might be providing business for you? Provide a non-working time mixer for your customers and prospects!

Earlier this year, I wanted to test the theory of "good things when people relax." This is my first business socialization and I don't know what will happen. Choosing a neutral location, such as a professional downtown club, seems to be the best option.

Open Yellow Pages, view local activity reports, I call several great clubs, these clubs seem to be the most suitable for professional and relaxed activities. In the first club I called, I consciously listened to the tips or ideas that this person could provide to make my event successful. From the first conference call, I prepared the answers to the most common questions. The questions from the five clubs are like this:

o How many people are there at your party? (I guess between 20 and 40; don't know)
o Would you provide food and drinks? (First drink, yes, every club has a happy hour)
o When do you plan to start and end? (5 pm to 7:30 pm)

After carefully studying the advantages and disadvantages of each of the five locations, I chose a landmark that everyone in my city knew about. I chose to participate in this event on Thursday because most of the guests on that day were in the city and I was more than happy (the next day was Friday).

If you have this idea on this point, it is that I am "dancing" and you are right! Recognizing that I am entrepreneurial and willing to risk computing, it seems easy to organize social events for easy business. The truth is that hosting business social networking in my hometown is more scary than any business decision I have made so far. This is just the beginning!

Besides inviting guests and making daily arrangements for the arrangement, this is the first time I have come into contact with social affairs. The problem has arisen, for example:

o How do I provide enough customers and potential customers with invitations so that at least 20 professionals can participate?

o How can I make this event easy for everyone, so that we can hold an incident?

o Why do people want to come to my event first… What is my unique sales proposition?

o What should I do if only about five professionals show up?

Now you can relax. My first business console has achieved great success! Here are some details.

Distribute invitations to become an interesting event and give full reason to contact customers and prospects. Even if no one had this fate on Thursday night, I still made progress through all the telephone, fax and email to the people I wanted to communicate with. Most importantly, everyone I talked to enjoyed meeting with other professionals after work to get delicious food and free drinks. After about fifteen minutes, my confidence began to reappear. I have the winner of this idea! More than 400 invitations are offered in various ways. It is too late to change my mind now.

The next question relates to what to do when people arrive? I have been to commercial mixing places where there are well-planned activities and some have no planning activities. My answer is simple. After paying for the guests, the first time to drink peanut butter budget, there is no entertainment budget. How can I communicate with guests in a positive way? This is the theme of the event:

"There is no reason to get together, but enjoy"

Now this magical moment has arrived: Hosted at 5:00 pm on Thursday The people were very good and promised to welcome every one of my guests warmly when they arrived. Shortly after I sat down for the portion designated by my group, several good-looking people I didn't know were sitting in "my area." When approached, I discovered that these people, like others who are similar to me, can compete with the same floor space. Injury control over the rescue. At the end of the evening, 35 guests seemed to enjoy themselves. In the following week, I heard most of the guests tell me how much fun and business they actually realized in attending my console. I have never heard of those people. "I don't know where they come from," but I don't like them myself on Thursday night.
