Leadership quality: building consistency

What makes consistency the ideal leadership quality? Everything you do over and over will become a habit, and habits are hard to break. As a leader, you want to be known for forming good habits [to treat people fairly, to encourage others, to be good at personality, to lead by example, to make high-quality decisions based on relevant facts, etc.]. This paper proposes six strategies for establishing consistency.

6 ways to establish consistency

  • Use it as a motto.

Committed to maintaining consistency by developing a personal motto. For example, regarding time, my motto is always to keep time or advance. I have long adhered to this philosophy. Knowing what the leader respects is good for the leader and his or her followers. Leaders are a positive example. Finally, others will want to imitate what they see.

  • Stick to it.

Stick to your gun. Don't waver. It’s like thinking, this stupid behavior will confuse people around you. One of the quickest ways to lose followers is inconsistency.
