Frequently asked questions about the foot

2019-05-16 Health No comment

Your feet are important. They are the ability and ability to move from point A to point B. Your feet are also prone to injury and infection. When your feet are not right, you will notice it. Even things as small as a blister can make walking and wearing shoes difficult.

With proper foot care [including hygiene and wearing appropriate shoes], most common foot problems listed below can be avoided or their discomfort can be alleviated.

blister

Blisters are soft, transparent, liquid-filled skin pockets that result from wearing unsuitable shoes. Blisters are often painful, making walking, running and wearing shoes difficult. A conventional blister can be pierced with a sterile needle and drained. Blood blister, using blood instead of clear liquid, should not be ejected and discharged.

hammer

If you have one or two crossed toes that point to an abnormal angle or bend in the middle of the toe joint, you are likely to have a mole. Like a blisters, a hammer is usually the result of a shoe that does not fit. If treated early, the alignment and bending of the sputum can be corrected. If not enough time has been processed, the toes will bend permanently.

Claw toe

Those with toes have toes [except the big toe] that curl at the joint where the toes and feet meet, and curl down from the toe joint to the toe end. Inappropriate shoes and nerve damage are common causes of paw toes.

Bunion

If you have bunions, wearing shoes can be very painful. The bunion is located at the base of the big toe and is connected to the joint of the foot at the big toe. This joint becomes curved, usually protruding from the side of the foot, causing the big toe to turn inward. Inappropriate shoes, heredity, arthritis, deformities and trauma are common causes.

Ingrown toenail

Ingrown toenails when the corners of the toenails dig into and grow into nearby skin. Foot fungus, unsuitable shoes, incorrect toenail and foot structure abnormalities are common causes.

Athlete's foot

The athlete's foot is a fungal infection with itching, burning, peeling, white, scaly rash between the soles of the feet or toes. Poor hygiene of the feet, such as not wearing or changing socks, not washing feet is the biggest culprit.

Toenail fungus

Toenail fungus is prone to discoloration and deformation of the toenails. These unattractive toenails are caused by inadequate foot care and hygiene, as well as exposure of the feet to wet, unclean environments such as swimming pools and changing rooms.

gout

Gout is a type of painful arthritis that usually causes redness, fever, swelling and pain around the joints of the big toe. Gout is caused by the accumulation of uric acid, which is exacerbated by certain foods, including alcohol, seafood and red meat.

Corn and calluses

Corn and calluses are painful, and the dead skin is the result of repeated friction between the toes and the bones of the feet, usually wearing tight-fitting shoes. Corn is often formed between the sides and top of the toes and between the toes. The old man is usually formed at the bottom of the heel and football.

Heel spurs and plantar fasciitis

Heel spurs and plantar fasciitis are painful foot diseases that affect the heel. A heel spur is a bone that grows at the bottom of the heel bone. Plantar fasciitis is a painful inflammation of the fascia, which is a tendon that connects hell to football.

It is important to take care of your feet. Regular cleaning and drying of the feet, wearing and changing socks, early treatment and wearing well-fitting shoes can help prevent the formation of many of these common foot problems.

If you experience chronic pain and discomfort, it is highly recommended that you make an appointment with your podiatrist.
