Eliminate the myths around you why you should not dive

I have been a scuba diver for nearly 20 years and a scuba instructor for more than 5 years. Still, I was shocked to hear some myths that people didn't want to dive. Some of the most common myths include: scuba diving is too difficult; there is no place to dive; diving equipment is too expensive; or my favorite is that scuba diving is too extreme or dangerous.

Let us start from the last one, scuba diving is too extreme for ordinary people, or it is dangerous. First, we must understand that humans have inherent risks beyond our control [as is currently the case with commercials, “it may be other humans”]. Yes, scuba diving does have some inherent risks. If you have received appropriate training and adhered to the security protocols specified by almost all certification bodies [PADI, NAUI, SSI], your chances of injury will be greatly reduced.
